This course is designed to provide an overview of all sleep-related breathing disorders, to enable participants to understand their specific pathophysiology and consequences. The methods for diagnosis and specific treatments will be fully described. Specific workshops will address practical issues, including vigilance assessment, quality of life, treatment with continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) and oral appliances, noninvasive ventilation (NIV) and cardiovascular and metabolic assessment. |
